I heard from a respected person inside the mopar racing community, that one of the limitations of this transmission is tuning, with respect to WOT-downshifting. Is this true?

Me personally, No.

I am not an engineer nor a tuner, and I have very little experience with this topic. I was told that the Achilles heel of this vehicle’s transmission was downshifting at WOT when the vehicle’s already in motion, and tuning limitations is the reason why. I haven’t found any documentation regarding this topic. My questions are to learn and avoid costly drivetrain repairs.
