I have tried tires with and without. The tires with are ready to go and indeed wear MUCH better. The increased durability is real and noticeable. My two year old front Cup 2’s have been flat amazing with how durable they have been. The tires I am removing have about 25% thread remaining, but feel like they have been “cycled” too many times now. They have served me for several years! They show a great deal of evidence of spinning from my last time out at the big track when we were checking out the “tune”. They were challenged even at over 100 mph. I want more and fresh traction.
My pair of drag radials hit their "heat cycle" limit even though they had plenty of tread left. They went away very quickly.

Yep, it is a bit strange, but yes all of a sudden it is like WTF those should not be spinning, it has good power but damn! I think they roasted them well. They are nice and smooth and shine like they were waxed. When I get them on the wheels and before I go up to the course, I think I’ll need to go out and do a little extra work bedding in my race pads and maybe set a timer to see what grip they have;).
