So good news, fuel pressure is normal again.
1625954863812.png

Interesting news. Last night while finger banging it into position it must have gotten past the lip. Today while in there channel my inner Hulk I could not get it to come off. Pressed down hard as hell and even tried prying it with a screw driver and nothing. I cannot fathom for the life of me how it would have come off if it was seated correctly. I'll take the blame on this one however I can't see how I did back to back passes with 80psi of fuel pressure and then when the car is off, poof...

Made a quick video, nothing impressive, outside of snafu everything worked. Tried a new technique. Brake, bring up rpms on first bulb, release presure a little, bump in, drop hammer when go time.

Nice win on the pro mod, I use to hate waiting on the other guy like that, car getting hotter, now with the Chiller, take your sweet time as it gets colder & colder after the burnout.

AI Chiller, works great, I did install, I normally see 32* IC temp b4 burnout then it's in 40's at launch, unless I'm waiting on the other guy & gets colder. The best I've seen was 28* when it was colder outside.

Not happy, should be in the 9s. Four runs tonight, one almost had me sideways and 104 is expensive to waste. I am supposed to be on a tune for 104 and it felt as if the 93 tune was better.

1627100517900.png

I'm very discouraged and I'm tired of trying to break this barrier. Here are my mods:

2.72 Hellraiser Pulley
1050 ID-X injectors
104 octane tune from OST
OST Fore dual pump setup
FI interchiller blanket and spacers
Pinned Crank
Transmission serviced with new filter at 60k and fluid for preventative maintenance
Diff serviced 10k miles ago with new fluid and inspected
Front skinnies with Sportsman S/R, Rear MT ET Street R (305/45/17) on Forgestar D5's beadlocks
HHP Racing Springs front and rear
DSS drive shaft with hoop
P4D DIRS differential brace.

I ran against a Charger Hellcat that is on 104, running only a rear tire and a 2.85 tuned by HHP and he runs 10.0 all day in bracket, hell he will even break into the 9's before I do and he doesn't even have half the mods I have. All logs from the runs look clean.

1627101130057.png

Run 2:
1627101211537.png

Run 3:
1627101262126.png

Do I just have seriously bad luck or do I not have enough power. I don't understand at this point and am ready to wrap up shop and call it a day. Last thing I want to do is drop more money on E85 tuning and still be in the same place.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have video of the night and I'll get it up. The second run which I won't mention any further after this, had me almost sideways. Was not a fan...

Were you at Cecil?

Your 60 ft is where you need to improve.
9s really need a loaded.
I think you can and of course it takes finesse.
Also what set up are you using on the race page ?

What are you using for 104
I've only used MS109 which is unleaded.

I think you have what it takes to break the barrier.

Linda :)

I'm in agreement with Linda. You and I have similar mods and I run a similar fuel. For me to get in the 9s the 60' has to be 1.51 or better and MPH is usually 137+. Your first log shows quite a bit of STKR at launch, the other two appear to show some tire spin. That'll account for your times.

At ChallengerFest last year I ran 3 10.2s in a row and was frustrated. The car would spin on launch. Mike gave me a little tuning tip and my next two passes were in the 9s. You might ask him about that, I'm sure he'll remember because it was like nirvana for me.

Also, rule of thumb is every +1000 feet of DA costs you about 1/10 in ET and a couple MPH. I can't tell from the screen shots where your car is shift RPM wise, what are the shifts at?

That is a head scratcher, in that DA & temp / humidity, it should have better ET.
60' isn't bad but are you drilling it at launch or finessing it out ?
What is tire psi ?

I went last night too at HRP, my DA, temp & humidity was worse than yours, mine ran mid 10.20's > mid teens. My 60's were 1.48 & 1.49
I have 2.85, AI chiller & 309, 315's on 93.

When you HC is not highly modified the stock box works great. If you remember or maybe seen posted, in the beginning My husband I raced stock box not filter, depending on the weather we could gain .1 or .2
I think now Josh has the K+N green filter installed for racing.

Linda :)

Yes I was at Cecil, I was at "Ratchet Fridays" lots of street cars so prep might not have been the best. It was on their new surface. On racing pages I am using the following settings:

Power -> 700
Transmission -> Sport
Paddle Shifters -> On (don't use though)
Traction -> Off
Suspension -> Street

For 104 I use Sunoco 260 GT Plus as it is the only 104 fuel I trust in the area and is available. I hope I do, this chasing 9's game is getting lame and I see cars with less mods in the 9s.

I have attached all the logs from last night if you would like to review them. On run one the shift points were as follows:

1 -> 2: 5902
2 -> 3: 6371
3 -> 4: 6485
4 -> 5: 6494

I sent all my data this morning and asked him for some of that magic on my tune files.

That's not going to make me depressed at all... I am not finessing it. I am power breaking at 2-3k rpm and dropping the hammer. You'll see in my video that I post later (currently editing). Tire PSI is usually 18PSI, a friend recommended I drop it to 16PSI.

@Speedy! I finished my classes for ZF tuning and I have a chart you might be interesting in logging for your own uses:

1627148110353.png

It's used to identify torque holes which in which your oncoming clutch is not activating fast enough as your offgoing clutch disengages. The 8 speed transmissions are fascinating beasts tuning wise.

Do you have Demon converter ? if not 2-3k rpm I think is too high.
FWIW - I do 1500 > 1700 & 20 psi.
And I think you may need a 315.

Second run is where I started going towards the other lane, got out of and recovered.
