Yeah, come on,spill em.👂
Guys, we are displaced right now. I've been living in a hotel with family (and 3 cats who are not happy!) since Thursday.

I'm spending my days trying to find longer-term housing but with 1000 homes torched supply <<< demand.
Our house was spared but we have serious smoke/contamination and will be out of our house for a month or more. When I have time I will put a new thread in, with some linked video if this place can support it (may have to get it onto youtube). Point is, it will take some time and right now we have some real-world issues to deal with. I am also helping neighbors who lost everything.

When I write it the title will be something on the lines of:

"How fire almost consumed my Demon (and Viper)"

Give me a week or so and I'll write something, I promise.

That's rough. I'm sure it'll be a long time before your area begins to look normal again. It's good to hear that the toys made it out ok though.

Ron - I'm considering picking up a cloth base drivers seat before the Legion event. My car has the air conditioned electric drivers seat. Do you know if the base seat will bolt in(I assume it will) as well as plug in to whatever is needed to keep everything working properly?

Man, I'm sorry this happened to you & your family & others.
I pray everyone has a speedy recovery of their life.
I can't imagine how that would be so difficult to deal with long term.
Hang in there & 1 day at a time.

I think it will work OK. I think all the vented and heated seat circut cavities will just be empty. The main power and ground and all the airbag stuff is wired the same across all LX modles. Make sure the seat belt buckle has the pre tensioner or the airbag light will be on. Just make sure the seat is out of a 2015 to present LX. I honestly do not think it is that much lighter. Maybe 10 pounds max.

So a little more than the weight of a full windshield washer reservoir? 😁😂

Thanks for the info Ron. Tim brought it up the other day. He was of the opinion that there was more like 25-30 lbs between them.

I would be very curious to see if the airbag light goes out. Also the Steering column will not longer adjust unless a LIKE car is sourced. But I am thinking no cloth seats got the power column. Not sure. I do think the Power SEAT adjustments will still work. Let us know. We need to share this info. I love it when I am wrong and proven wrong. I am still thinking 10 pounds.

I had a good drive out to TX. Took my time and had great weather the whole way.

The best I could do today was a letting off Hoosier Wobble pass. That was the first time it was so bad I actually caved and let off. This was the third pass of the Day. The first two Passes (and most others) were over 140 MPH but both had minor traction issues. So compare @133. Probably only clipped a hundredth or two at most.

The Hoosier Wobble ended up going away after a few passes. I tried 22 PSI and all that did was cause the car to act like it was spinning down track. RPM was flaring or wavering, but it was straight (maybe it was running out of fuel). I ended up going back down to just under 19 cold and I think hot they never exceeded 20. Still not totally sure about all this. I think next Friday when we run I am going to stay low and see how it does.

I did get all my License passes completed and Driver signed and the Track Manager did his thing and I will mail everything off when I get home. There was NO Printer. The one they normally plug in was stolen along with the Truck it was being stored in. So I will have to print out the images from the App, or email them to Mike Rice from NHRA.

I made 16 passes. One other 9.590 @140.87 and a couple 9.61's and 62's. The last pass of the day was a 9.64 @140.77 @-500 DA. It was a good pass and I specifically remember it barking the tires on the 1-2 shift. Much better than a hiccup.

Didn't it take you awhile to run a 50 in your 1st Demon? Do you think this one is faster or is it because you used what you found out about the 1st one that you have already made it into the 50's with this one?

Yes, it was B Mason's track rental day, was supposed to be on Saturday (today) but with predicted rain it was moved to Friday 1/7. It was cold & overcast but no rain.

Z was there also & beat his own record 7.88 at over 170mph.
