High temps, not was I was looking for but planned on getting the 1st runs in with the 2.75 pulley installed. We needed it for datalogging being the first pass with a safe tune. Figured 10.0s maybe get into the 9 being the DA was already over 2000. 1st run tires at 22 and had some bad wheel hop so lifted and just drove down the track. I went right back up and switched lanes. Tires were probably 24 psi since I didn't check them. There was a red Hellcat with a cage that was lined up with me. Car hooked to a 1.44 and pulled pretty good. The red Hellcat was way back there and figured he had wheel hop too and got out of it. I had to look at the time slip twice, 9.86@140! Jon said timing was only 18 and may have hit 19. He made a slight adjustment to the tune and went back up. Wheel hop again so went back around switched lanes same result. Normally hooks fine at 22 psi but I have more power now. Dropped the tires to 19, it spun and I got out of it and back in and went 10.41@138. I drove back into the lanes and lowered the pressure to 18 psi and it hooked. Not sure if it was to the floor fast or slowly being I just wanted it to hook. Had a 1.48 60 and went 9.97@138.97
Decided the DA was just going to get worse so we were done. Jon is going to take some timing out for tomorrow so it will leave. We talked to the guy in the red Hellcat and Jon told him he had a driveshaft so he bought it and they paid us to install it. It blew out the front of the shaft, one of the ball bearings even fell out when Jon pulled it off. He has a 2.95 upper and a lower on it. He made an easy pass after we got it back together and went 10.1. A little later he made another and went 9.75@142. He said he has went way faster so I will have to ask tomorrow what he best is. DA had to be around 2500 at this point but at least the humidity was in 20's. They were from the Detroit area I believe
