Two very viable scenarios, I got nothing other that whats posted up 🤷‍♂️
With all the guesses something will be correct

I like the pulley tb size theory best. Is 1582cfm a reasonable number?
The 109mm DragPak throttle body I have on mine is rated at 1750cfm.

If 215 is also a target could they get there with just raw Hp grunt added to existing front facia and aerodynamics, or would this rear wing & nose cone Daytona thing be actual. Would they be audacious enough to go for incredible 1/4 mile Et, high trap speed, and overall flat out top speed.

I read a demon has went 210 without the limiter so 215 with more power would be doable

Interestingly enough, according to Wallace racing, it only takes ~65hp to get that next 5mph...

I would think that would depend entirely on aerodynamics. A piece of tape on the grill can get that on the big track in NASCAR.

Aerodynamics of different cars would change that

More considerations!! Wasn’t the top speed on the Demon limited by those drag radials used to get the ET? What DOT tire is going to get this thing a 9.0 ET and be rated for 215 mph? A M/T ET-R?

I was thinking same thing. Standard street tires and the crate will have the carbon wheels and tires for the track:cool:

Yep. Exactly why the limiter was placed because of the DR rated speed or so they said

I always thought it’s non linear for hp required to each additional unit of speed gained, something about wind resistance squared as speed increases

yep, the drag force is a function of velocity squared

Might not be a drag focused car.
Thus not barging in on the Demon territory

215mph isn’t as huge a claim as 200mph was back in 2015. Hardly noteworthy. But, it’s still pretty cool.

Absolutely agree, back when Bobby Isaac broke 200 It was a very big deal back then. Next the winged cars were able to get an average track speed of 200mph. It took 13 years to beat that closed course speed record by unfortunately a Chevrolet car. Long time to hold a record like that In NASCA, of course when Bobby did it they were called stock cars. Ain’t nothing remotely close to stock now. Exactly why they stopped calling it stock car racing.

Did any one ever see the K&K # 71 Daytona that Bobby Isaac had set the record in it was restored and brought back to Bonneville to set new records in. The video was recently released, I thought was well worth seeing.

I like stock cars better than modern NASCAR
