That being said I'm retired and this isn't a DD, and don't drive much at night. On my Jeep Gladiator I tinted the windshield with a clear ceramic/UV film that takes a MASSIVE edge off the heat that gets generated from the intense sun here.
There's legal considerations too of course and these cars are enough of an attention magnet without giving LE probable cause for an inspection/technical issue. You should try not giving them a pretext for a stop in the first place, but some states have medical exemptions for tint based on skin/eye conditions, etc. if that's a consideration. That would not prevent you from getting stopped however, just from getting an equipment/fix-it ticket...
