Kate also told me about his 7.61 pass

Now this is some awesome news to Brag about!

He won the Heavy Weight class! I also believe he would have The Record for The Hellcat Charger! 7.53!

Outstanding performance! So…. a tech question/observation…. As we get faster and start running at events outside of the track rentals…. the tech inspections get more serious. Most are not aware that once you go faster than 8.50…. car weight becomes a part of the cage requirements. My 7.50 cage is a example. Max weight allowed is 3800 lbs. It says so right on the cert sticker. Empty car weight for me is now down to 3830. On track with fuel and ice and me in it, I crossed the scales in Houston at 4050. That means to run under 8.50 (I already have) I have to loose over 250 lbs. There is realistically no way to get one of these things down to the max weight requirement to go below 7.50. In the picture of my NHRA Cage Cert Sticker…. Lower right you can see that it’s punched at 3800 lbs. The next lower weight is 3200 lbs. I believe that’s as heavy as they allow to go under 7.50. Colby is looking at dropping over 450 lbs just to be legal to run what he’s doing now. I’ve never had tech ask for a weight verification, but…… 🫣

Seems like Tracks and rules will vary upon the race.

I had a lot of issues after I got there but I was able to confidently resolve those issues after working on it for a couple days. I have more to share about it but this isn't the right thread for it.

Congrats to Colby on not only becoming the world's fastest and quickest Hellcat Charger but also the fastest and quickest modern Charger in the world across all late model trims and years. He's put together one heck of a machine to get it done and I have a feeling we're going to see this car go even quicker.
