I put some merrick satin black intake rings in. I like the subtle look. Done with changing how the car looks, back to performance. Goal is 9.5 or better this upcoming winter - problem is it’s going to cost a bunch to get there. Those few 10ths are going to be pricey

Took an old friend who owned a Griffith and raced go-carts 100y ago or so to HF in the RES2. He loves to tell me racing stories from the old days. He has no idea, and I am not going to show him, other than a brief acceleration into an opening in traffic.

I almost don't enjoy driving it around town, if feels like using a sledge hammer for thumbtacks. Everything is about being gentle and careful.

Last week I took it to the dragway with street tires to try to reproduce the trans problem. Couldn't do WOT until about 90. I can't imagine what it's like for you guys with the really fast cars. Do you guys drive them around town with street tires???

4oz of Limited Slip Additive and a qt of 75-150w and the rear end sounds much more quiet now.

Taking the DIRS brace off and on with the non-threaded frame is one PIA. Of course I lost one of those loose couplers for about an hour!

I had no issue. The nut part in the frame are square so easy to line up.

I had no issue. The nut part in the frame are square so easy to line up.

I can barely get my pinky thru those holes to hold them. The drivers side decided to flip or something and fell about an inch or so to the wrong direction. That did suck. I finally got lucky.

@MikeD1 what is this “warranty” you speak of? It is a good unit but was humming a bit more and after 22,000 miles and some of the track treatment it has received it just needed some maintenance. It liked it, seems to be one of most quiet I have ridden in now.

Color is called Maximum Steel Metallic, very few were ever produced. It's really very understated, out of the sun it just looks grey but in full sun it pops and the metal flake has blues, greens, reds in it. It is very difficult to get a good pic that does it justice ! They were also putting it on Ram trucks for a while.

^^^ I think it was the best color on a Challenger they ever did! Could never figure out why so rare.
