I'll be updating this thread, with various How To's, like:

Roll down windows with FOBIK.

Full time DRL's (no dropout, with turn signal).

Disable seatbelt chime.

Change tire size.

Reassign DRL's to a different light.

Put items in TEST mode. They will function, for a few seconds, so you can run a quick check. Ever try to test brake lights by yourself? Now, you can ping each run, brake, turn, reverse, CMHSL, from behind the vehicle, to check ops... using your phone!

To name a few.

There are specific criteria to adhere to before making any changes, to the vehicle, so you can revert back, if you booger something up... and you can booger something up.

Stay tuned.

Please Read!

Supported years: 2005 to 2018. This being said, other model years can be used on some vehicles, to make changes.

Make a backup of your original BCM configuration before making any changes. This will enable you to both share your BCM config, with owners of similar vehicles and will enable you to compare changes, side by side, if anything goes amiss.

Google Drive BCM Upload Instructions:

Uploading System ID (BCM) Information:

To upload your System ID information (BCM), click on the battery icon, in the lower right corner. Go to the "Tools" icon in the upper right corner. From there select "Upload to Google Drive", it will ask you to link to Google Drive. Link your Google Drive to Alfa. Select "Upload to Google Drive" and "Upload Faults and Status Log". Then select "Body_Chrysler_Info". Name the file to upload whatever you wish. I suggest using the current date and whatever change you'll be making (i.e. 122519widowsdown). Done! Now you can go to your Google Drive and fund the system info a little easier.

To review your BCM info, download Note++ and the compare plugin, for Windows. This will give you a side by side comparison of the BCM pre-change status, and the post change status. It is a road map to getting back to where you want to be, in case you mess up... because some single changes in Alfa make multiple BCM changes.

For viewing the information directly on the app, go to the bottom and select the battery icon once a connection has been made. Then select Read System ID. It should start populating below. From what I have seen the Alfa programming tool keeps a record by date of all changes in the BCM from time of first connection.

Only make changes you are sure of!

There are quite a few setting in the AlfaOBD software that are for a multitude of FCA vehicles. What you will find in Alfa. If it makes sense and if another Charger/Challenger/Trackhawk has it from factory, then chances are you can set it. You must also keep in mind not only code settings will get you what you want, you will also need the proper hardware installed. Alfa is not magical. Don't set changes to things you're vehicle is not equipped with.

Recommended OBD client is the OBDLink MX, or MX+. Google both, for comparison shopping. Both work just fine, with FCA vehicles. MX+ adds IOS compatibility, but there is no Alfa for IOS, so don't let that sway you.

2018+ vehicles will need a security bypass harness, for the OBD port.

(Borrowed largely from the AlfaOBD Mega thread on RamForums.com. Edited for applicability and clarity).

I recommend reading this thread and using the search function to glean information you are looking for. The Rsm trucks use the same architecture as we do, so many of their known working changes will cross over.

While our Cats are pretty much loaded, there are still a few tweaks available to discover and implement.

Alfa offers a free, fully functioning download. It is limited to 15 minutes of connectivity, so I don't recommend making changes with it... but you an use it to get an idea of how it is structured and to see the items you can tweak.

Here is a list if things you can put into TEST mode, to verify proper function.

This list will vary, depending on your model year and vehicle, but this will give you an idea of ONE of the things Alfa can do.

How-To: WINDOWS DOWN WITH FOBIK.

This is a tutorial on how to enable front windows down with FOBIK unlock button.

Video:

https://ve.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_prckzaE8pi1u35mw4_720.mp4

Supposedly, this feature was cancelled in 2013, but Alfa can bring it back!

The command, with the FOBIK, is UNLOCK/UNLOCK-HOLD. That is to say, press the UNLOCK button once, then a second time and hold it down. The windows will roll down as long as you hold the button.

I won't go over saving your BCM flash. That is in the first post, but it should be done, EVERY TIME you make a change, with Alfa.

Launch AlfaOBD and choose DODGE/RAM, CHRYSLER, or JEEP. Click the bluetooth button and select your bluetooth OBD client, from the list.

Select your vehicle.

Select BODY COMPUTER.

Tap SELECT CONTROL UNIT and choose your MY Powernet.

tapatalk_1567400528940.jpeg

Click CONNECT

tapatalk_1567400539580.jpeg

Click SELECT PROCEDURE TO START

tapatalk_1567400551513.jpeg

From the drop down, select CAR CONFIGURATION CHANGE

tapatalk_1567400558730.jpeg

Click SELECT OPTION

tapatalk_1567400567157.jpeg

Scroll down to DOORS - GLOBAL WINDOWS DOWN

tapatalk_1567400575761.jpeg Select YES and click START once. In the information box, at the top, the current car configuration will appear. It will tell you if your car is set YES, or NO, or whatever variable you can choose from.

Click CONTINUE and wait. Alfa will tell you something like PROCEDURE COMPLETE and you can close the program and turn off the key, or push the start button to the OFF position.

Remove your OBD client.

Grab your FOBIK and try it out!

Enjoy!

NOTE: GLOBAL UP has not been figured out, yet. If you do figure this out, please post it up. Even if selected YES, the windows will not roll back up. If you have a pre 13 LX, what is the FOB routine, to roll the windows back up? Maybe it does work and we just don't know the windows up dance.

How-To: Full time DRL's (15+ Charger)

This instructional focuses on defeating the DRL dropout, when the turn signal is in use. Keeps on both DRL's, full time.

As always, backup your BCM to Google Drive.

In Alfa, select:

Dodge Charger (LD)
Body Computer

Select your Model Year (MY...)

Click: CONNECT

Click: SELECT PROCEDURE TO START

Click: CAR CONFIGURATION CHANGE

Click: SELECT OPTION

Click: CBC FEATURES - DRL DROPOUT ENABLED

Click: SELECT VALUE

Click: NO

Click: START then CONTINUE

Done!

Let the car sleep for 15 minutes.

Give it a try.

Bookmarked for Wiki consideration! :)

A reminder, Wiki entries need to be "vetted" by the membership, so if you feel like this is a worthy entry, speak up! If you feel like this needs to be revised in some way, say so, nicely...

Yeah, I set up and down. Up... no joy.

This is a known issue, but the damned Tazer does it... so it IS possible.

I know Alexie has a lot on his plate. Maybe this will become active, in later updates...

Looking into adding adjustable pedals. I miss this feature from my 06 SRT.

I know Alfa can enable the various settings, I just need to figure out of the harnesses are in the seat and under the dash.

This will be my next Alfa mod, on my HC Charger.

I bought a security bypass harness, for the Grand Cherokee TH, so I can tinker with that... so I'll report on those findings, too.

As for windows, up... haven't looked into it. For now, Global Windows Down is pretty cool :)

These cars are so loaded, it's difficult to find uses for Alfa, but I'm trying... LOL.

Oh... you can assign which are your DRL's.

On a 15+ Charger, you can assign the DRL as the amber turn signal and the assign the DRL bar as the turn signal. Tweaks like that are fun :)

Same on the 15+ Challenger. You can make the white ring the DRL, instead of the amber light, etc.

If there's interest in something like this, let me know and I'll post up another How-To, in this thread.

There are a LOT of ideas in the RamForums thread linked to, in the first post of this thread.

That's where I get my info from... and YT.

Just released... adding Launch Control to RT with M6.

Not sure if this applies to you HC M6 guys, but this guy put a boat load of work into this mod and it's pretty impressive he figured it out, with Alfa.

Here's a link to the thread:

How to add STP & Launch control to an RT+ w/manual trans | Dodge Challenger Forum

https://www.challengertalk.com/threads/how-to-add-stp-launch-control-to-an-rt-w-manual-trans.678125/

If nothing else, it shows what can be done with Alfa and it's a good read.

ACC

OBD port needs power, to run the dongle.
