Oil prices in Canada is the biggest factor. I’ve been in the drilling fluids end of things for 20+ yrs and the end is near. I’m not “ready ready” to retire (I’m 52) but I can survive being a Wallyworld greeter if I have to.

Washed, detailed, scrubbed all of the bunt rubber off and then...for the love of everything holy...just completed Clay Barring it What a pains taking process.
Next time, I am paying good money for someone to Clay Bar my car for me! lol

Tomorrow night...paint correction and then Wednesday night, putting one coat of ceramic and then another coat on Friday night. Then Saturday morning, full interior detailing and window cleaning (inside and out) and tire shine.

Then the car will be ready for a photo shot and then Rockingham, NC at the end of the month.

They were supposed to be closed but one of the partners was there and clay barring and paint correcting a truck for ceramic coat. He told me he would be there awhile if I wanted to drop my rims off (reason I was going). I did. When I went back a few days later, they were still finishing and perfecting the truck and breaking their balls rubbing etc. They(meaning any shop) get a lot of money for ceramic coat and PPF work, but when a shop really does it and does it correctly, it's ALOT of work.

Oh trust me brother...this is the LAST time I am clay barring a car and the last Black colored vehicle. Black colored vehicles are soooo hard to keep looking good.

And my dumbass had to get a black truck and black trailer.....all color match, what a great thought, but did not think this one through.

Personally, I find getting the clay out to be one of the easier steps in this process. Getting the DA polisher out and going through the two step process, keeping the pads clean as you go through the polishing, that's much more of a PITA than the clay is. Keeping the polish out of the seams, and cleaning the PPF lines after the fact took FOREVER.

With the relatively simple body lines of a Hellcat (especially if you have a Satin hood like I do), we have it kind of easy too. I'd hate to be working a Vette, Mustang, Camaro etc.
