I have the chrome magnaflow cat backs. It always gets discolored. So what I did was leave the exterior in chrome. I then painted the interior of the pipe with high temperature flat black. I have only done one. Yay or ney?
Yeah great for no rust. But on plastics not so good. I will put some wet sand paper on the chrome and apply the high temp. Paint. Then give the valance some tlc.
I've been using 303 Protectant on all those grey plastic bits & mine still look like new. FL sun & humidity take their toll as well if it's left untreated.
Might have to apply a few times, then wait a week, then lite wash with good quality car soap then the 303.
I like those microfiber covered sponges for applying (fairly heavy) & then a lite wipe with a MF cloth to 'level' & remove excess.
I try to let the car sit for 24 hours before exposing to the elements if possible.
