Was looking at some CAI's mostly for under the hood appearance (and some sound upgrades) and got to thinking that while I like the carbon fiber tube look of a few of the options, I don't really need to drop $500+ if I can find a Carbon Fiber tube replacement for the OEM rubber waffle slinky.
Anyone do something like that, or is this a bad idea for reasons I'm not aware of?
Stock air box/filter, CF tube, stock TB connections... seems like everything should be the same, yes?
