I think there are break-in instructions in the owner’s manual? Take it easy on it for the first 500 miles, ie. no pedal to the metal or testing the top speed right away. However, I did not exactly follow the recommendations 100% and everything turned out fine. Enjoy your new ride!

IF it were mine, I would run the rpm up high a few times fully loaded.

Then run moderately until 1500 miles, with occasional high rpm, but not high loads.

I also always change engine oil at 500, 1500 and 3000 miles, followed by every 3000

My logic is based on the following, (which can be found elsewhere with searches)...

You want to initially seat the piston rings in to the cylinder walls with the high cylinder bore pressure, AND then not allow ring lands to develop low in the cylinders by only running at lower rpm.

Only my .02 (and how I've broken in my PW, DSRT and HC)

If found the break in procedures for the 6.2 Durango Hellcat at
www.mopar.com/om
Select vehicle
Go to the drop down and select 2023 Durango Hellcat SRT Performance Guide.

Mine did not come with this 64 page guide specific to the Durango Hellcat.....very helpful with capacities and break in
