Satin/Matt surface cleaner...

Can anybody suggest a good one to clean the black satin inserts on my red eye. It is paint from the factory, not a wrap. I’m using a spray from Chemical Guys but it leaves terrible streaks and unevenness.

I have it, and have experienced the same thing.

What I have learned is to let the car sit overnight, inside, such that the car is as cool as possible, even cold perhaps.

Then apply to microfiber towel, a bit more than seems right, and then quickly from front to rear, overlapping, while still inside, OUT of the sunlight.

The results are dramatically different than applying to even a slightly warm hood, even if not in sunlight.

When I did it this way, I was very happy with the results.

Gotcha. I’ve made the warm hood and the sunlight mistake. I’ll try it out in my garage.

Assuming all is basicly clean, maybe a little dust, etc...I use Dr. Beasleys Matte waterless wash, then immediately follow with Dr Beasley's matte final finish. Looks terrific! They have a combo that starts with matte cleanser, then matte paint coating. Then day to day is waterless wash if needed, finishing with the matte final finish. Btw, I do this with factory painted hood and spoiler, as well as matte wrapped roof and trunk. All smooth and good, very happy with results.

I am going to go with what Bull is saying as that is the same stuff I use for my CF stripes and it works great.
