Has anyone had this issue? Local dealer and indie shop can't seem to diagnose, other than "try replacing the struts...maybe that'll work?" (to the tune of several thousand). Couldn't find anything on this forum, so I apologize if it's been answered elsewhere. Replaced and tightened sway bar links, but to no avail. Definitely sounds like something is loose or gone bad...

Numerous threads about it here going back as far as 2014:
https://www.dodgedurango.net/forums/

Usual culprits:
loose spare
loose or defective shock (and/or shock mounting bolts)
bad shock mount

Just search that site for thumping, lots to read !

Excellent! Thank you so much? Weird how I typed in "thumping" on the home page, and got nothing back. Appreciate your help!

Don't know if you solved the problem but the sway bar bushings can also cause thud sounds .
