What gears to use?

Hi for street racing what rear gears should I use to not spin as much I have a 2019 hellcat charger making 965whp

Assuming you're talking about O.E.M. gear sets, you only have two options for each of the transmissions, A8 3.09 and 2.62, (M6 is 3.70 and 3.90)

Which set do you currently have?

3.09s have been shown to be a tenth faster. Depends on what you are doing if the cost is worth it. I'm looking for an 8 second time slip went 9.12 last year and may put them back in (tested them 2 years ago) if I need a little more to get that. Also will be doing long tube headers this year. If I were not that close I would not put them back in

If you’re mainly street racing I would think the 3.09’s would be a waste as traction is going to be an issue even with the 2.62’s

That’s the same thing I was thinking not to go with the 3.09 I wouldn’t be able to put a deader gear than a 2.62
