My opinion is unless you are racing in a class using a Pro Tree…. there’s no benefit. The main advantage of the 2-Step is reaction time. Even if you can get the thing to work at a low rpm… how’s that really going to work from a performance standpoint. You’ve got your engine banging away selectively not firing cylinders and when you release, it’s supposed to go to WOT instantly and like that? I can also tell you (because I use one) launching off a 2-step hits the tire harder than flashing the converter off a foot brake and will be more likely to spin the tires. Unless you’ve got the track and driveline to take it, you’re not doing yourself any good.
