I have a curiosity question about 60’ times vs 0-60 mph. There is a chart out there that converts that mathematically to come up with ones mph at the 60’ mark and your zero to sixty based on that. 0-60 numbers are pretty spectacular using that when running 1.2x sixty ft times. My car pulls very hard when hooked and I don’t hit second until 65 mph, so there is no interruption In acceleration before the 65mph point. Chart is saying 1.2 seconds to 60mph. That’s what it feels like in the car but does anyone have actual/accurate measurements at this level? I have never cared to use the onboard timers for this but now that question has come up and I’ll admit... I’m curious.

I would be interested to see some info on this. Based on personal experience, it seems like a high 1.5x 60 foot gives about a 2.9 or 3.0 0-60 time, and you're also right at about a gravity free fall there too.

I wasn't running the timer. Never even thought about it until the question came up. More interested in the exact 60' than zero to sixty mph. My speedo is way off (10mph at the finish line) so unless we get in there and recalibrate for the tires, I don't think anything the computer is going to be showing is going to be accurate.

The chart showing the conversion for 60' to 0-60 is based on a constant rate of acceleration. It's actually just math. My car doesn't shift before the 60' timer and is pulling so hard at the sixty it is probably fairly accurate using that math. It's calculating to about a 1.25 to 60mph. I know what it feels like and it's definitely a eye opener for sure. But 1.25 seconds?!! Before I go spouting that.... I would like some backup if you know what I mean

My best 60 foot of 1.58 puts me at 42 mph at the 60 foot mark. Probably hit 60 mph in under 3 seconds then for sure!

Damn! There it is. 1.37 seconds zero to 60mph. Thanks.
Although you weren't operating the timer it saves your Best time in your Performance Pages, check it out.

This is for all of your performance parameters.

The timer is running in the background all the time, it will have recorded and saved your best 0-60 and all other times and also your last one so after a pass before you accelerate to 60 again you can see your very last 0-60 time, 0-100, 1/8 etc

Cool. I’ve never paid any attention to this stuff. Too busy trying to figure how to get it 60’. Thanks again. I’ll get in there and see what it says.

No, at least not yet, I looked at it & it even said it's not 100% accurate ?

It said it's not 100% accurate. It is within 2 tenths either way. Try it just to see. No calculation for this stuff will ever be 100%.

Try the 0-60 calculation. I am interested to know how close it is to what you car is saying.
