Uninsured motorist is a huge problem in WNY..the high cost of insurance has led to many people driving unregistered uninsured beaters...and when they hit you..most take off ...or run..and abandon their cars...now your insurance has to pay for your damaged vehicle even though you are not @ fault...this negates any clean record or driving experience you may have....insurance companies are in the business to make MONEY...(like every other business)...when these losses occur your premiums go up...most companies are diverse..they write personal lines.. residential..commercial..auto..and others...and if a certain segment becomes unprofitable ...they may even pull out of a market...and even if this situation has never happened to you.(uninsured motorist)..your gonna pay a proportionate share of the premium/ loss ratio of your particular market...like it or not...that's the way it is..

Even shopping around is not without risk...most look for the lowest premium....make sure of what your policy affords you in coverage..trouble is most of us think we are smarter than we are...we read a policy like a layman (if we read them @ all)..we THINK we know what it says...or we take the agents word...remember..he's trying to sell you something..I retain an in house counsel to read every lease agreement..contract..or ins. policy...you'd be surprised what you think it means..and what it actually says..can vary...one last thing ..be careful..you get what you pay for...

My wife and I have a deal, I don't bother her about the cost of the horse, board, new truck, new trailer, vet bills, farrier, hunt club, saddles, events, and the other 100 things.... And she doesn't bother me about the HC, wheels, tires, track rentals, etc. But we do make a vacation out of the trip to Moosebutt ME for land speed trials! (The horse stays home!)

yes i blasted around and past him at a nice clip lol my attorney told me the ticket will be handled by the JP court of the county i was in, we are going to fight it 93 in a 70. no radar verification just his observation

You'd be surprised how accurate they can be in their observations.

Played that game once during a CHP ride-along. He was rarely more than a mph off when turning on the radar for verification.

ya just hoping the stall and reschedule tactics for court will cause him not to show, it has worked for me before. but usually i end up taking differed judication to keep it off my record. luckily i was just under the 25 mph thresh hold.

Talked to my agent and they forgot to include our umbrella policy with the auto policies so at this point it looks like the increase will be around 25% which is what I’m hearing is the norm in the market currently. Still going to shop around but I’m not thinking I’ll do any better.

I have had Geico for almost 10 years. My hellcat insurance hasn’t moved more than a buck or 2 year over year since I’ve had it. Sorry you guys are seeing yours jacked up.
