Real numbers are closer to 1700hp. She was a tenth or two down from the fast COPOs and CobraJets with a 7.8 qualifying number. I think she ran a loosing 8.0 in the first round. First time out so I’m sure they will improve.

The NHRA is always making adjustments to keep a heads-up class “competitive”. Whether they are being fair or biased depends on who you’re talking to. I don’t doubt that as soon as the DragPak starts to show any dominance, the hammer will be ready to come down. Thing is though.... this a DSR car and he has a HUGE amount of influence with the NHRA. They don’t want to piss him off by making it so he’s wasting his money in this class. Dodge has a lot more influence than in the past due to his participation and MOPAR connection.

I just thought I read they did the usual and add weight because ..well... Dodge can't possibly be wining in that class. Can they. LOL
I haven't been up on the NHRA much lately. I just started getting coverage of the races up here.
Since the Grand Nationals are no longer held up here coverage pretty much went away.
I was not aware that her car was a DSR car. So yeah I can see it not being a good idea to get him upset.

A couple of years ago Dodge was on top. I believe they allowed a different blower for the other 2 and Dodge was at the bottom by a bunch. This new car should get them back in the field
