The best tire shine I have used is the Pinnacle brand. It does not give a high gloss look but does have a subtle shine and gets the tires nice and black. It has the best staying power, and also seems to not fling all over the car.. I just let it dry for a few minutes. Great stuff. Car washes always use the cheap crap and slather gobs of it on so by time you get home you need another wash

303 here...

Not really a 'shine'...more of a UV protectorant.

I probably do 2-3 applications per season and let it sit a few days prior to driving. Mine is a weekend car.

Aside from that I know it's not good for the tires, I can't imagine that the over spray does the brakes any favors.
So my answer is no. Absolutely not, to be precise.
Don't spray on, wipe on.
Won't kill the tires, driving on them will...... Eventually.
Wash mine up to 3 times a week, twice with a touchless, and once at home by hand.
Every time I wash it at home, I wipe the tires down.

Wiping on solves one issue.

And if you find one tire manufacturer that isn't against tire goop, I'm willing to change my view on how the goop affects the chemicals built into the tires. A little. Maybe.

Actually, not driving on them can kill them faster than driving, as those chemicals won't be able to work as designed.

I have always used it on my wife's Grand Cherokee, but never on my car. That being said I took my car to the car wash to get the interior done (my shoulders don't hold up well doing the windows) and they unexpectedly dressed the tires. Looked good to me, so I've been doing it myself now and then.

I clean the tires with Wesleys Blech White and spray them off. Let them dry. I spray tire shine on the tires. Then I wash the car. I use a foam cannon and a sponge on my rims. When I dry the car I wipe the tires down. Washing it helps take off anything that can sling down the side. It also gives it a more natural clean new look.
