Well. I went for a 3 mile drive and was the lucky finder of crap in the road. I almost just went and bought two new rears but decided to have the tire shop patch it for now. I’m going to imagine the patch will hold. This wasn’t a plug. They took the tire off to do it the right way at least.

That patch should last until you wear out the tire.
Just to make sure, whenever I get a tire patched.....I do a nice burnout to help vulcanize the patch to the tire
I usually hate keeping it but I did some research and the patch they did should be fine. Either way a set of tires don’t last me long. So as long as it makes it until the end of the year I’m happy.

I too would keep the tire, especially with that much life left to it. Still does suck though, sorry. Hell I fell in the pool with my blower strapped on me and damn she still runs to this day😁.
But yes I see both ways. Drive a car with this much power and put a patch on it. I struggled with the decision for days. I really want a set of nitto 555rII for the street. But at the same time I enjoy this tire for everything that doesn’t involve a straight line.
but yes drop a few thousand here and there on performance parts then patch a tire and do it the cheap way. I know. Doesn’t make sense. Either way just because I put a patch on it doesn’t mean I’m not looking at tire sales.

I lost a rear tire on a motorcycle (and almost my life)..@ 75 mph due to a failed patched tire..It may not be the last tire failure I experience...but it is the last one due to a patched tire...

O geez. Now that has me a bit more worried. The tire shop told me not to worry about it. I did some Google research and a lot of people said it’d be fine. That they just took a little off their speed raiding. Which these are 186.
I told the guy at the tire shop well I do hit 150 on these sometimes. He said I wouldn’t worry about it. Which he could tell I was because I asked him 3 times.
the guy I bought the car from wants the tires. Maybe I just sell him the 2 for 350 bucks and call it a day?
