They look like crap after a couple days and I’m thinking about removing them. I like the painted stripes much better.

Has anybody else remove theirs?

Mine are ok after 5 years
But I rarely drive it
When I clean them I wash away from the strip not into it to avoid lifting the edges

The problem is that the stick on’s have to be maintained much more than if I went ahead and took them off.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to sell it within 11 months so I’ll probably just maintain it because I’m not sure if I took it off would it effect the resale value.

Satin hood
I would think that would be tough to clean the bugs off of
I parked my truck under a pine trees
That was a mission cleaning hi gloss paint

When I put the shaker on my Yellow Jacket. I did the the shaker in a satin, and cleared it with a satin clear coat, to avoid all that aggravation. It turned out perfect. 010.JPG

I think it looks better with the stripes, try some spray wax detailer to clean them up.

I would add that I was the the first to put the shaker package on the 392. I did it before Dodge did.

The only way I could get it to look decent is to wipe them with armor all and then wipe it with a dry mesh cloth.

What mean cat says works for me

Quick detailers will look like armor all for a bit then dry off

I am currently using a black detailer
It makes a mess on the rags but leaves no white residue

I have some other stuff that works really well
I ll see if I can remember to look tonite what its called

Both of these work on glass also

You can clay bar the stripes ?...interesting, I would of thought the clay would stick in the rough stripes, have not tried it.

I would be wary of clay bar on the stripes and definitely NO WAX !! Remember, these are textured vinyl (3M 1080 series wrap material).

Mine were a mess on day 1 and I almost yanked them off. I have found that if you clean them following 3M's recommendations, then apply 303 protectant they come out looking 'even' with no blotches & are good for at least a few washes.

Apply the 303 sparingly to a MF covered sponge (helps get even coating into the nooks & crannies) and gently work it into the stripes. After doing the whole car, take a clean MF sponge and gently wipe in 1 direction to eliminate any streaks or excess 303. Store both sponges in a ziplock baggie, they will remain moist and can be used without adding more 303 for quickie touch-up as needed.

And as mentioned above, be careful on the bumpers as they are a 2 piece application with overlap (not end butted) and tend to start lifting on the corners if rubbed too hard !!

Just had my guy do them again. They were full of wax when I first got the car, dealer detail guy must of smeared wax all over them. Clay bar was the only thing that would clean them up. I them sprayed Reload on them and they've looked great since.

It’s a bad idea. The factory stripes are beautiful on that Challenger. You’d be lucky to get them off without some damage to the paint.
