Yes, an oil change...

======================

Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.

======================

Bare with me on this...

So the image above is me laying on the creeper waiting for some magic moment of the dirty oil drips slowing to a point that makes me content that I've gotten a sufficient amount of the old oil out before I close everything back up and refill with clean oil.

Going on an hour of drips (from a HOT engine besides)... Having played this game many times before, you can wait for HOURS and it will still be dripping dirty oil... :(

As I'm laying here waiting for "The Slowing", I'm wondering how much of the oil that is coming out is from the puddle at the bottom of the oil pan, or is from oil dripping off of every engine component. (probably both)

But I bet the vast majority of it is the puddle.

(Keep in mind I turn in oil samples to Blackstone with each change.)

With the puddle in mind, I grabbed a quart of the PUP and dumped it in there, with the idea that a full quart of oil to flush out the remaining puddle (after a full hour) would help purge out that nasty.

(I act like I'm rich and the crazy expensive PUP isn't a thing...)

Well, if all goes to plan, I should see a notable drop in my NEXT oil analysis from Blackstone.

Patience young Grasshoppers, this will come in due time...

:unsure:

Changed out my Mr. Kustom puddle lights. One of the old ones had a blurred image (pretty sure from leaving the door open too long). These are the drill type so they’re a little pita, but these were the ones that were on the car when I got it so that’s what I went with. If anyone ever does this, don’t forget to flip one of the lenses or your cat heads will both be looking in the same direction lol. Not something you wanna find out once you get the door panels back on😂

I bought the direct replacement type, for my Charger. Yep. Had to flip two image films around.

On mine, I wanted the cat heads facing away from the car, on both sides. This way it matches my HC embroidered headrests.

OCD? Maybe...

My old ones were facing outward, decided this time to change it up. My headrests aren’t embroidered tho

When I did my oil change...apparently someone at Allpar left me a present inside the belly shield...that i didn't notice until I put it back on!

...a bluepoint telescoping mirror.

I haven't touched the underside of this car in probably 4500 miles. It made it from basically Atlanta to northern PA, back & forth to Pittsburgh a few times and made it 6 passes down the track of which 2 were in the 9's. Multiple 165mph hits too. Snug as a bug under there.

Some would be worried what else is jacked...no one beats this car as hard as I do...so I'd say we're good.

Took the Cat for a walk today, 70* a good performance day. It ran strong in this cool air. went by the local Dodge dealer. Man their lot is bare, the sales guys were out front standing around. when I drove onto the lot they started milling around. I think they were hoping I was there to trade LOL They need cars bad. Then when I got back out on the highway, this teen age boy climbed out the rear window of the SUV he was in, out to his belt! And started waving his arms at me to wind it up for him. I dropped a gear and broke them loose for Him. Put a smile on His face. LOL

Safety loop for an M6??

You sure?

It's been a while, but last I knew, there wasn't one...
2015+ Mopar Challenger/Charger Driveshaft Safety Loop – Manual – GForce Engineering (gforce1320.com)

and also

Driveshaft Loop 6 Speed Transmission | sm-performance (smperformanceparts.com)

I believe they are both (basically) the same design. I'm fairly confident I can get it to work with the barton, any issues I'll post up.

Here's some pics where someone used the sm, but I went with the Gforce as it looked more adjustable to come down or possibly even angle off the barton. I can machine it a bit if I have to.

ps thanks josh at dusterhoff;)
