Well, like a lot of news its just misconstrued, or, does not represent reality. He prob paid 125-150k, then tack on another 75k in custom widgets, paint, stereo etc. And by PFM (pure f**kin magic) come to the conclusion of 300K. That, or he's got it insured for that.

seems 1 USD is equal to 1.48 Australian, putting it right about what you would expect him to have paid. Mystery solved.

I don't know about that, even at $150,000 US that is only $222,000, it costs almost $100,000 to ship a car to Australia? I don't think so!

Shipping, foreign market markup, paint, badges etc (looks like he had it customized) and so on. Or, like I said its just basic misinformation. They talked to one of his reps and he prob said "oh yeah, he paid 300k for that car" and then it gets printed.

I don't buy that, still falls way short! I don't see how he could have paid more than $120K to $130K US to buy, shipping air freight and taxes and fees, still comes up way less than $300K

Interesting. I was told by the owner, that I sold a Press Kit to, of the company in Austrailia that does the conversions that it cost approx $90,000.00 to to the RH conversion. Maybe he was adding other costs to the total.
