Overall it was a fun event.
Friday was just a nice, relaxed day w decent weather. No earth shattering et's really came that day. Several of us made lots of runs.
Saturday had some insane wind gusts. They definitely made the right call postponing it until Sun/Mon.
Sunday was the good day for most. Many ran personal bests. Some badass stuff made some good runs. I won the pro tree 9.50/slower Bracket race so that was fun.
Monday many, many participants headed home. The air was just warm enough to make it a slower overall day than Sunday.
We headed back to TN around mid day and drove the 13 hrs straight home. That sucked. As did coming to work today. lol
I learned a lot about my SS in the 35 runs I made. I'll be yapping about that stuff in the Super Stock thread if anyone cares to read it.
Also, Tim Godbee, S.E. Ross and the rest of the Legion crew worked hard to see to it that everyone enjoyed their time there. The Houston Dragway mgmt and staff did a good job of keeping things moving while still providing a good enough racing surface for many to set personal bests. I'd like to Thank everyone involved with putting on the Battle at Baytown. Your efforts are appreciated.
