@Mean Cat my comments are directed more toward folks who come across this thread down the road. You're comfortable with the octane boosters and the deposits, but I get asked about it all the time. I'm of the opinion it's cumulative and folks need to understand that when making decisions for their cars. Not everyone gets educated and just read the "headlines" as it were.
When testing my 93 tune I put 2.5 gallons of 109 in 5 gallons of 93 and it gets me right about 98 octane as well but mine's quite a bit less than 13° in that tune depending on where we are in the aircharge table.
It takes a LOT more than 13° of timing for my car to trap over 140mph. Granted I don't get that crazy TX air you guys have but I'm not sure that's enough to make up the difference. I ran a 9.70 at 140.77MPH with a 1.425 60' last April in +800 DA on 109 octane race fuel tuned to match as a reference so I know what it takes for my car to get there. I'll blame the sunroof
After an oil analysis report came back with some odd lead readings a while back I won't be running anymore leaded fuel either, so I'm probably more conservative than most.
Your car is doing really well for what it's got IMO.
