It amazes me how many cams we sell based on sound. Most guys want the sound first and if the performance is there OK. Im like that on some vehicles as well. I have a 1992 Silverado that I feel that way about. I want it to look good and sound good, but I know it will never be a great performer.

On my car, I want performance and if it sounds killer, wonderful

Yes and there is definitely a market for that .. but most gear heads want the power ..

With a single cam and pushrod engine you cant get that much chop from tuning. DOHC you can

You can play with the timing and make it swing around a bit .. not a true cam lope idle but like the old mechanical fuel injection where it would kind of lumber up and down on the idle ..
