So I will admit, I've been lazy and relying too much on the tire to compensate for my inability to get my foot of the accelerator while doing a burnout. So I've been letting it bang off the rev limiter when doing a burnout but I need to stop doing that since the 15's aren't going to take that, nor is my trans any longer. I'm currently back on a 275/60r15 ET Street R. Here are my thoughts:
- Knock off rocks picked up while driving in pits to staging lanes by hand.
- Check tire pressure, make sure I'm appropriate for the track (start at 18 usually).
- Quick spin before water box to get off the rest of the rocks.
- In water box, activate line lock (stock/tazer/burnbox).
- Apply accelerator till I see a puff of smoke in the side view mirror, do I need to get into second gear for this?
- Let go of line lock
- Come off accelerator
- Roll couple of feet and brake
- Ensure still in correct mode (Sport, leaving TC on this season)
- Activate launch control, set to a measly 1500 rpm as I don't want to flash converter.
- On both double yellow stomp accelerator
- Hold on.
