I'll be curious how the 1700 do with idle and cruise trims.

You still plan to run flex?

Took his flex away long ago.
I don’t see a problem with them. I’ve done two cars now and got them dialed in pretty close. This was with NN turned off tho. This will be the first one with it enabled.
my 1650s and @vortecds dialed in quick.

No, I have too much boost now for the gasoline portion of a flex tune, I’m full time Flex Fuel from the pump but never gasoline. Out of the pump Flex right now is 82%, lowest I saw it even over winter was 72%, I have E98 on hand to bring that up if needed but I have 100 gallons of the pump 82 on hand to get me by once it starts dropping for winter. And once Salton center is hit the road it doesn’t see the light of day until that crap is clean again come April or so. I use Lucas E85 stabilizer in the fuel when it’s going to sit. In fact the fuel that’s sitting now each 5 gallon container is treated with 1 ounce of the Lucas stabilizer perv5 gallons, I did the same last year and it worked well.

Not with these injectors

I did some dialing in of the injectors last night, in less than an hour had idle at 0% LTFT and cruise within 3-4 and WOT (one short hit) was +6, then my laptop battery died which sent me home :( I think we’ll have them dialed in before the weekend is out. I have a work related party to go to tonight so no playtime this evening to finish them up. Most I saw injector DC wise was 45% and 12 milliseconds at 5500 rpm, pump DC never topped 79% with a new set point of 78psi at WOT, 56 all other times. Looking good so far. 👍

My buddies fuel system clogged up after running pure E85 for about a year without running any gasoline through it. It's at the shop now getting a bunch of stuff replaced. 2019 Trackhawk. FYI.

After I swap blowers, my plan is to run flex and use 500hp mode on 93.

I used gas for storage and a half tank last year. I really thought i'd go back and forth but never did. I'll be surprised if I even use 93 for storage this year. I will see I haven't street driven much this year. Been busy with the baby and other things. I've not even done a 1000 street miles this year

I had suggested to him a while back he may wanna run some gasoline every once in a while. He has a FF tune and an E85 tune. He just didn't. His symptoms started with stalling at red lights. He started with having injectors serviced (they were fine) then replacing fuel pumps, FPDM, something on the TH hat that's different from Challengers, and finally took it to a shop. He texted me pictures the other night and the fuel lines had some kind of sludge in them. Says now he wished he'd run gasoline occasionally. I just shot him a text to see what's up with it now. YMMV as they say but I'll run 93 through mine once a month just in case.

The Lucas E85 Fuel Stabilizer is the trick. I know guys have there been using it for 10 years plus, they never run anything through their vehicles except E85 pump flex and out of the barrel and when it comes time to store their cars for winter they fill them up as much as possible to expel all air (moisture carrier) and just let them sit with the stabilizer in it and the entire fuel system double strength, 2 ounces per 5 gallon. I’ve done that for two years myself so far with no troubles.

Most motors look very clean running e85. The fuel lines should have looked clean. I'm wondering if it wasn't because of something else? The filters should be catching most everything. Every test I have looked at with e85 it has looked clear

I will be putting 93 in mine for the winter

All I can do is pray lol 🙏🤞As I’ll NEVER go back to pump 93, not after feeling this level of POWER!!!
i’ll be sending my injectors out just for a check out to ID over the winter,I did the same with my other injectors, my 1050s and 1300s, and they all came back with a report of being perfect as received so so far so good for me at least. And I just had my complete fuel system apart to replace the pumps also replaced the micro glass filter and had the fuel rails off as well everything was spotless inside.🤞🤞🙏

Basically what I would expect from e85. My friend Tim sent his out last year and they were fine.

Yep my buddies injectors were perfect in the report. He sent them to HHP. I always thought with fuel being in the tank, getting drained down, etc the system was pretty well "sealed" from moisture/air but something got to his. I run Speedway brand not sure what kind he ran.

3rd gear pull trims looked good for a 60-130 run do I let her have it. Not bad for 1 hour of street tweaking and a 12 degree max timing safe timing timing table thanks to @jonx96 This engines not a timing hog lol. Back to 19 degrees soon! Draggy battery dead so only Gtech data. Same bridge as usual, no slope, If anything it’s .45° uphill in the direction I ran.

GForce graph of that 5.37 run, shows the declining G Force of the reduced timing up top during the 3rd and 4th gear pulls

Verse a 19 degree up top run

Less wheel spin from less timing probably netted the better time.

Injectors pretty dialed in now, Still a bit of fine-tuning to do to get them as close to zero as possible but they’re runnable as is. @jonx96 desired fuel curve working well, pump system kept up even on a “extended” run.

OK, the real story of the “Extended” run of earlier. I was cruising along about 70 just across the boarder in the middle lane on a 3 lane stretch of a uphill grade not a car in sight, saw 2 cars coming up from behind pretty fast. They split and One come up on each side of me left and right, I increased my speed to about 80 to match theirs somewhat and when they got pretty evenly alongside me they nailed it and I did the same in 4th. I Pulled on the vet embarrassingly but the ZL1 didn’t do too bad but I walked away from him as well which turned into a jog once we got up there on the top end of fourth he kept on going so I had to go to fifth he gave up when I kept pulling away from him hard on the 4-5 shift. I got off next exit because I was heading for and needed fuel, was down to 1/4 tank, they both beeped their horns as they went by. The Vette had four round exhaust pipes in center rear, I don’t know what model that signifies?! The Camaro was a ZL1 for sure, I’ve seen that car or a very similar one to it and ran it before a year or so ago on the bridge by home, Didn’t gap him as badly back then as I did this morning. The new power of the Whipple definitely shows for sure. I looked at the HP Tuners log to calculate the time it took to get from 80 to 168 it was 9.62 seconds. Fastest I’ve had the car up too this year, wish I would have broke the 170 mark, I didn’t know where I was that speed wise I was more watching the mirrors and front then the dash, which was on GForce not Speedo So glancing at it was tough To see where I was mph wise.
