Finally 8's with the 2.4 IHI boost only!

Been working hard to get this 8.87 sec pass. Good air -230 da. Still need to improve on the 60,' still off my best by half a tenth of 1.30. Fighting with the new 15" rear big tire 315/60 MT street pro's and new 3.09 rear combo set up. Was on the 17" with 315/50 MT street r and 2.62 before. I will figure it out. Car was at 4520 lb's. Car has drop in pistons and rods. 2.50 Grip tech upper only pulley, Jokers ported SC snout and upgraded bearings. 108mm tb, ID 1700cc injectors. My new twin Walbro 535 fuel pumps set up on one KB bap. Running on ignite red 114. Still has a better run in her need to get the 60' down 😁.

The plan was Orlando. Depends on the shop build now. I just dropped a check off to get started on that and I won’t leave if a big project is going on.

what are your thoughts on the the 315/60/15's with the 3.09's? I'm on the 29.5/10.5/15 pro bracket radials with the 2.62 rear still. plans are to switch to the 315/60/15 radial pro and possibly the 3.09 rear.

Funny I'm thinking of going to your set up. So far the weight of the 315/60/15 , bigger diameter, heavier beadlock wheels and 3.09 have been slower on the 60'. About a half a tenth from my old 315 /50/17 on a lighter rim. I have added a whole lot more timing threw the launch and have trans on coming clutch pressures up along with other parameters set . The old set up would spin if prep wasn't great. The new 15" set hooks on bad prep. Still working on getting it better. I think I'm on the edge what it takes power and torque. To get great 60' with this set up?

Feel free to reach out if you need help. I tend to get cars to 60ft. I had a stock boost super stock cutting 1.30 to 1.33s this weekend. Another car was doing low 1.2s on the back wheels 🤣 I think Dave gave you my number. Are you leaving in first or second?

so far I don’t have too many passes on this setup. 4 to be exact. First was on a no prep “pyop” race at the track. Spun pretty bad leaving in 2nd. Wheel hop terribly.
3 passes on good prep. 3rd pass finally turned it up some (brought power in sooner, to get my 8 second slip) broke my Demon axle.
my goal is to be able to hook even on mediocre prep. Dropped 200lbs off the car over the winter so I’ll be at 4500 race weight this year. Hoping that will help.
