I knew there was additional mucus that binds us beyond our Mopars. As young chimps, my 6th grade simian brothers (there were no chimp sisters as they were too smart to participate in the following) engaged in the same behavior.

We'd climb a ladder up one side of this garage, monkey over the peak, then jump to grab onto the saplings near the edge and float to the ground on the slender green trees. We were skinny kids back in the 60's who, like others here, were outside all day.

As those waiting for the trees to snap back peered over the edge one of our troop got clocked in the face and fell off of the roof. It was slo mo as we watched him falling...he f'in landed on his feet like a damn cat! Thankfully, we were young, fit and flexible. Lucky he didn't land on his head. Only injuries were bruises and cuts, badges of honor. We learned our lesson...no, we didn't stop...we just dodged the limbs as they sprung back up

That day was somewhere in the recesses of this old apes 66 year old brain. Brought back great memories guys...Thank you and thank the lord we made it to where we are today

Oh, and favorite fruit...bananas of course...you dig? Groovy.

I also don’t remember a kid ever hitting their head in a bike accident. Lots of skinned hands, knees and elbows from a wipeout, but I can’t recall anyone getting a head injury.

No helmet on bike or minibike. But did get a flag on my big wheel and bike after this elder neighbor lady actually backed into me nearly.killed me. Did not seemmlike a big deal at the time but when i look back on it things were close. My dad did not scare easily and he was scared of that hit. I think i lived bc when i realized in that split second she was still coming i speed up like some kind of fear driven instinct and when she actually hit me the contact area was the back half of the rear wheel (and i was upright for maximim effort on the pedals) and the bike and i were hurled intonthe rock pile of a arid landscape design. Back wheel.of that bike was bent at 60 to 70 degree angle.

@ 8yrs old...while waiting to go to a little league baseball game..I was sitting under a brick flower box..a 3 ft by 5 inch 3 inch thick sand stone block fell about 2 ft and broke in half over my head..split my head open good..(20 stiches)...my mother says I aint been right since..

Sounds like I've figured this site out! We all have brain damage from our glorious childhoods!! We pretty much all grew up doing the same dumb shit and we all lived!! Mine was ramps, dirt bikes and 3-wheelers...wrecked every one of them

I know you’re afraid of heights. I am too (but maybe not as bad). I think it has a lot to do with falling out of trees as a kid. There’s just something about that helpless feeling before the thud. It sort of sweeps over you when looking down from unsurvivable heights.

I drive past one of them there training type facilities just like that every day on my way to my nice cushy factory job! I always think those guys/gals are nuts when I see them up there.
