Ordered these ET Street R's today as they were actually in stock, unlike all of the pieces I would need for a 15" conversion. Will try this in the meantime. It's gonna be a big tire, but looking at the specs, it's only .4" taller than my street setup and section width is actually slightly less than my street setup (Hoosier DR2's 325/45/18). Hoping I don't run into any issues with fitment given those details.

Decided to make another try today at the track before the new tires get here. This time I left at idle and rolled into the throttle. Although my 60' was not as great, it worked pretty good. Managed to tie my previous best ET at 6.35 but at a new record 110 MPH. Video is below.

Thanks. Ordered, and they appeared to not be special order.
call me stupid.... WHICH exact ones do I need to order please? I looked and don't see the spacers 5X115 -to- 5X115 1 inch.
Please advise and thanks in advance.

Look for the wheel adapters, not the spacers. The adapters have studs and lug nuts to mount them to your hub. Part #5115-5115_8-WCD
Mine will arrive today.

Mike, is that part number going to work ?
It's only 20mm thick = (.78") --- aren't the studs sticking out about an 1", thus they'll protrude out beyond the face?
Should the correct part number be: either 5115-5115 A8-WCD which is 1.0" thick, or, maybe even 5115-5115 B8-WCD which is 1.25" thick. Depending on how far the factory studs stick out ?

I just checked my order again, and it states they are 1 in. thick.
I'll check their web page again to make sure.

My order does in fact say 5115-5115 A8-WCD. Sorry for the confusion.

Have to admit moving the "skinnies" out an inch is a good look. (y)

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Breaking News... The 2021 Super Stock just got another new best at the track last night! Left off idle and rolled into throttle as quickly as I could netted a 1.39/6.29/110! Tried again later on after the sun went down and DA went to 800ish, but had traction issues. Thinking about switching to the Mickey Thompson ET Street R 315/55/17 I've got sitting here. But having reservations because of the 38 lb tire weight compared to 25 lb Hoosier I'm currently running.

HS ! --- according to the Wallace Racing conversion:
Your 1/4 Mile ET is 9.97 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 6.29 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 136.40 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 110 MPH.

Congratulations, great run !
Yea, tough decision on the tires, hard to say if the reduced wheel speed from the much taller and heavier tire can be overcome with MAYBE better traction ?

Thank you! And I actually use a custom conversion factor from actual Redeye/Super Stock 1/4 timeslips, which comes in around 9.82 in the quarter! (eighth/.6405)

We never get negative DA here in upstate SC.... but would love to experience it one day! Last night it was around 1100' I believe when I ran the 6.29.

Even more impressive !
Questions: was this on E85, also can you run 93 pump gas with those larger injectors?

E85 but haven't added any timing yet... so it should get better once I start dialing in some power. Just working on getting some consistency on the launches first.

FYI - February in Darlington will sometimes produce some great situations. I've been there when the da was a legit -1500 and with the low 50's temps and sunny we had a great surface. You might keep that in mind. :)

Also, IMO the 13 lbs of rotating between the MT and the Hoosier can pretty easily be made up w some early timing. My 15" beadlocks w the 315/60 MT are a total of 28lbs heavier for the pair than my BS/Hoosier setup and my similarly tuned car had no issues pulling them.

Good to know! Obviously I'm still on the fence about this, but that helps a lot! Were you stalling it up when you got some of those killer low 1.3x's?
