Bought the headers on Black Friday and finally installed them. I have done headers before on my 17 Daytona 392. I would say similar but a little harder with the extra stuff on the passenger side and coils. We pulled the first 2 coils and moved the wiring to make room. Did the top front 3 on both sides from the top the rest from the bottom. It took longer to unbolt the stock manifolds then it does to install the headers. Having an extra set of hands help a lot. Took around 7 hours. Smoked pretty good and filled the garage with the oil they put on them. @Jon sent me a tune for them today, thanks

Congrats!
It’s an 8 hour job for me to do the headers on my truck too. That’s why they’re still sitting in a box. This inspires me though. Can’t wait for sound clips!

Have a friend come over and help. Not real bad when you have someone helping

I remember one guy saying he disconnected the steering coupler and jacked the engine. None of that? Nice work! Love to do it but I’ve heard minimal gains with stock tune.

A solid tenth. I know not much but at my power level takes around 40 hp for that. I should have weighed everything to see how much each weighed. I would say the headers feel a little lighter but not much

When we did the daytona we took out the motor mounts. On my 13 mustang it is what you do but on the hemi it just added more time getting them off and even more time trying to line it back up so only did that once. The steering shaft is one bolt and you can see it hanging in the pics. Getting the wiring out of the way helped a lot. Even taking the wiring off the alternator to help move it out of the way. It's not a real hard job, just takes time. Everything done with hand tools

Awesome! Did you have to hack the motor up/remove starter? Or just the steering linkage?

But did you have to undo motor mounts?
Nope. Starter, steering shaft and take knock sensors off

I like to spin wrenches, if you're near ATL.
