I couldn't imagine daily driving something that boring...I mean yes I do wish my redeye with mint with very low miles sometimes, but driving it all the time is the greatest!

I have a very good friend who is a used exotic car dealer...occasionally I will go with him to the exotic hi line Manheim dealer only auction ....( I'm like a kid in a candy store)....911's have been bringing strong money for more than a few years now...but in the fall..(now)..there are certain dealers that don't wanna carry that inventory all winter..there are deals to be had..I just never was able to pull the trigger...
You go to the 1 in Manheim? It's been a long time since I've been there.

I think the high-line was once a month on a Thursday?

My good friend loves his 911. He also has a Trackhawk and had a 2018 Demon as a daily. He didn't like the Demon and only kept it 6mos. Who buys that as a daily?

On paper I love the 911 but I'd need to drive one for a weekend before buying
funny thing about that...I've never driven any vehicle prior to purchase...

Yup in Manheim Pa....we leave wed, afternoon ..the hi line is Thursday...I leave after that with whatever he bought that day..and he stays for the reg sale Friday...I get to drive some really cool cars back..I can take my pick..bout a 6 hr. ride from Buffalo...been doin it for years...cant believe the amount of dealers that are now foreigners....they pay ALL the money and drive prices outta sight

I don't know, I mean I do not think a low-mile redeye will ever lose much value, some yes, but probably not a lot if it's mint. Keep in mind the $100k Porsches that don't lose value sold for WAY more than that when they were new, and also are not hardly driven to keep the miles low and condition mint. Car kind of owns you at that point.
Redeyes are already falling. I was looking yesterday. To your point, $100k Porches I'm looking at were nearly $200k when new 5 years ago but they seem to stay around $100-125k used with low miles. I'm gonna wager Redeyes are $50-60k cars in the same time. Lower if the new TT V8 sees production.

Over 40...It's tough work..the big guys send their buyers there ..they know what they want..and are done in a couple of hrs....it's not unusual for my buddy to stay all day....there was one instance where a dealer brought 6 cars to run...and bought 6 cars..he ran a Tbird early and no saled it @ 15,000...he had to run it again @ the end of the day (he had to cash out)...in the morning my buddy got off it @ 14.500...he bought it @ 12,500 later in the day...the guy was upside down for the day....I've watched my buddy do this alot...he's good @ what he does...knows what dealers bring junk ...and what to stay away from...it's a grind he gets back late Fri. nite...and is @ the shop Sat. morning to check out the cars delivered...he does very well and earns every penny

Agreed...we could swap stories all day...when the cars get back..he has a paintless dent guy that is a wizzard..and an interior guy that is amazing @ dying seats and interior stuff....and he keeps em busy and they work cheap...he's been doin it so long he has people every week that are looking for specific cars..and always finds them in a couple of weeks...plus he knows his market..if its clean basic transportation for a college kid..he buys the tan impalas with 75/85 miles and tan interior (the car that nobody buys)..and his ethnic clientele...love the ultra clean high mileage Benz..bmw...and Jags...but again it's work..he's been @ it over 40 years...

Well, a pretty nice Go Mango 2018 Demon went for $107K on BAT today, so something's going on. They'd been fetching $130-$140K.
I saw that right as it ended.
I would have thrown a bid on it.
Demon's haven't been that cheap in a long time. Hopefully, this shit starts to settle down.
Even the new 170s being 250-300k asking price is bonkers.

How does Dodge expect people to actually want to support their brand when that shit is allowed to happen? The easy fix is just to build as many as people will buy. Stop trying to be Porsche or Ferrari

I check the trade value on my Redeye about once a month on KBB and the value has fallen about $8K in the last 3 months.
