Disgusting. They COULD have had an auction for customers. It's so clear that Dodge takes care of its dealerships over all else. THEY are their customers.
So does this mean that Dodge will build all 3,326 cars that were sold/ordered before the 15 May deadline PLUS an additional 40 Demons? If so they must not have any concerns that only 12 days remain and they are 782 shy of the initial 3,326. They will have to hit 66 cars a day. They haven't done that once since production began in July.

My take is
I don t think they are building 40 more
I m not even sure they will hit 3300 ???
I think they never sold them in the first place due to build timing issues
Now that the production run has almost ended they see they can hit their numbers so they pull a sales boner
They know the dealers are pocketing cash over MSRP so they offer the greedy dealers a chance screw more people and pocket more $$$ by "buying" cars
If I understand this correctly
To qualify daily dealers need sold orders
They won t be building any more cars in January unless something drastically changes at the plant

The initial list is 2,806 allocations. Dodge gave themselves some headroom there.
As for the plant, are they still moving forward with turning it into an EV plant or battery plant? Ford and GM are backing off on their spending.
What is stopping Dodge from making a 2024 Demon? I don't recall it ever being a limited edition, 1 year only deal. It was just assumed because the plant was being killed. But in the last 4-5 months the car world has flipped on its head and many auto makers are abandoning EV spending.
As for the CF wheels, Tim said they lose money on them at 11k option on the Demon. So I am not surprised at the 13k per wheel. They are not cheap and honestly, I wouldn't want them. But the collector world will punish anyone who doesn't get them (not like they actually race and would know).

All Dodge would have to do is say they are looking at the continued production option due to demand and that would stop the whole dealer markup thing cold. For Dodge to continue to make the most incredible muscle car ever would be one big step that would make everything right. 🤗. FJB.
