The investor crowd loves them because that was the magic that made the 8 second pass possible.
As their CF car also has a moon roof and leather and HK stereo etc.

I believe the car is limited to 149 in street mode
In drag mode that is not the case
The wheel / tire setup on this car is definitely not a 1 mile top speed setup
My take is the main issue you will see after 150 mph will be fuel shortage
I m fairly sure these cars fuel pumps will be insufficient using corn fuel much past 150 mph
I assume guys running these cars at the track will be watching for this

Accordingly to the emails from SRT, that is not true. The car will allow it to monetarily exceed 149 but that is it. Please see the following youtube videos regarding this. Dodge has removed all reference to the car having a top speed of 215 mph. SRT has stated in the emails that the Redeye is faster, the 170 is quicker in the 1/4.

I've seen screen shots of the factory tune and the speed limiter is set to 149. Once I get a new MPVI3 I'll pull the tune from my car to confirm but I assume this is accurate info.

So it went from being advertised at 215 to149 mph and was only stated after being pushed by racers asking about the Texas Mile. The 2018 Demon has a speed limit of 168 (based on the tires), however, the race pcm that was included in the crate did not have a speed restriction.
