Middle of summer and the vented seats won't work, neither seat, heat and steering wheel heat all non functional. The screen acknowledges the touch, it beeps, but the heat/vents don't turn on. Fuse 51 is good. I disconnected the battery to reset whatever, and they still don't work. Not only that, I'm now getting the black and blue screen instead of the normal screen.

The first question is, how do you get the normal screen back.

Second is, does anyone have ideas about the seat controls? Still under the 3/36, have an appointment Friday, but I would really rather to not let them touch it.

Thanks.

Screen will come back, just give that time.

Not sure on the vented seats.....did you check to make sure plugs under seats are connected?

The module for the vented seats is under the Pass seat. Make sure BOTH connectors are fully engauged. I am sure the module power is fused. I would check the ledger really carefully and check any fuse that might feed this. Also the car actually has to be running for that system to work.

Also a couple wires go through the GREY connector on the drivers side. Not sure if that would disable the system, but you should check that connector as well.

I removed the passenger seat for the dragway, it gave me the airbag warning. After, I plugged them in and it went away. I re-unplugged the pass side and replugged, no help. I'll go do the same the driver's now.

To force a radio reset and get the SRT Pages back you can hold the Power and Tune buttons in by depressing them for 30 seconds.

My guess is the Pass side Grey connector is not HOME.

That explains why mine wouldn’t work yesterday (driver vented seat). No passenger seat and the passenger seat bypass plug plugged in 😅

Fixed! Thanks, yes it was the gray connector. I didn't latch it, the latch cams the connector in the last bit, and obviously the pins were not all in contact when unlatched.

And the proper screen came back.

Sucks to get old and forget this crap!

Thanks guys!!!

Kinda strange that if you unplug the pass seat, the driver's doesn't work. Have to wonder what kind of person is writing the code...

It's just the physical location of the module under the Pass seat controls the system. Has nothing to do with programming.

Just so you know the Memory seat module that also controls the power steering column is under the Drivers seat.

I make a setup to bypass the airbag/seatbelt light and re enable the Heated & Vented Seats. I do not sell many because it's really expensive. If you run that way a lot it might be worth it. 0613201838a.jpg

Not just helps, there is probably more knowledge here than all the other places put together. I did a bunch of searches and read a hundred useless posts, but Dragrcr mentioned the connector needed to be "Home". I had the connector plugged in, but not latched. That was the entire difference and Dragrcr suspected exactly that!

The same moron that 'fixed' the Uconnect bugs in the '15 & '16's but screwed up the mapping of the I/C Coolant and Intake Air temps.
A coding mistake so simple a caveman (or a 6 year old kid) could have fixed it, yet it escaped all levels of testing and has never been corrected.
