Made a couple test passes today and had a close call. I changed the fuel system to 3 pumps last month after I believed 1 failed by unplugging each. I wanted to watch AFR going down the track and normally it is around 7.8. On my 1st pass it went into the 8s and I may have seen a 9 so I lifted before 1/8th mile still went 9.83. We tore into the car swapping fuel pump wiring and we found the culprit, a bad relay. Swapped it out and all was good. Guess I didn't lose a pump
Jon and I left the track and did a pull to watch fuel pressure and AFR and it was back into 7's. I made the 2nd pass and it looked much better 9.50@146 1.46 60ft, DA was 1950 75 degrees 59% humidity. Last year on one of my 2 passes that hooking ran 9.51 2100 DA 76 out almost identical conditions. This is a softer launch then what I would like but trying hook every pass
I was curious how the 170's would do and I heard 1 went 9.24@147. The guy "chicken man" has a cobra jet so he is a racer and I don't know if the car is lighter then stock or not. I will try to find out but bet I'm giving up 400 lbs to him
