Big shout out to JON!!!!

We knew everyone would have a tenth faster dial in and talked to Jon yesterday about leaving harder being the track was good. He sent me a tune this morning and being I was racing Darrel I decided to wait until next round if I needed it. Running a 9.56 I was going to need it. Next round went a 9.51 but I was kinds rolling and was really lucky I didn't red light. Car I was racing spun a little and won by 1/2 second. I figured if I did everything right in the final and get a light I had a chance. Had a better 60ft and really didn't think it was going to run a 9.45 in 2200 DA after running 9.54 in 2300 DA yesterday. Almost picked up a tenth by the 1/8th mile

Trip Carter 'chicken Man" a cool dude. I was talking to him all weekend and who knew we would meet in the final

My new custom grind cam is killing it. 17psi boost here. With a soft launch and timing pulled up top. I can’t go faster than 9.0. So I have to pull more timing out. But no big deal. Car should have an 8.6 in it.

NMCA race wrap up

The eight quickest competitors from the Dodge // Direct Connection Shootout were invited back for the special HHP Racing Quick 8 Presented by Scoggin-Dickey competition on Sunday. As the rounds pared down the potential winners to just Jim Burr and Tripp Carter, both men were hungry for the taste of success. Dropping the hammer on their low-9-second Dodges, Burr’s 2016 Charger Hellcat led by about a car length at the finish over Carter’s 2023 Dodge Demon 170 thanks to a massive holeshot – 9.455 at 146.48 mph getting the win against Carter’s 9.250 at 148.12 mph.
