Also just a word on weight savings…. Once you’ve removed all the unnecessary parts and pieces that can simply be unbolted, it starts to get expensive to replace parts with light weight pieces. This block is 125 lbs lighter than the Dart. At this stage….. that is huge. One of the things you see on some of the faster Hellcats are CF doors. That is a $3500 weight reduction that gets you 60 lbs for your money. This block was $3000 more than the Dart. While certainly not as strong as a billet example (or the Dart) it is seriously upgraded to being a capable race motor. R&D insider at Callies says 2500 on turbos and methanol is no issue and that will work for me at our target weight of 3500 lbs.
