Well, it finally happened. I suppose I knew it was bound to happen at some point up here in Maryland. Driver tried to merge into me causing me to swerve into a parked car, either way I was screwed.

No, no one was hurt. If the person who caused the wreck would have stuck around there might have been a different story to tell. I feel sick, but, I do have USAA which is very good insurance so theres that. This is my first wreck so hopefully it won't mess with my premiums. On another note, I added a 2012 SRT 8 Super Bee Charger to the stable this weekend. So theres a bit of good news for you.

Was expecting to see side swipe damage from description but that looks like head on. Ouch! No airbags which is a good thing. Glad your ok. I'm sure @ChargerChallenger gonna' feel your pain. He just bought same exact car.

This is like the 50th time this has happened in the last 18 months, my wife keeps saying to let them hit me. But my natural reaction is to avoid which of course I did. I off-center rear ended a person in the non turning lane at the light.

That totally sucks. Again sorry. On Long Island the driving situation is so bad I got rid of my motorcycle.

I have a Blackvue 2 channel dash cam for this reason.

It does do dual duty as a race cam, but it's primary purpose is other people.

I actually have a dash cam, but dont know if it captured enough of the footage. holy crap im glad you reminded me. I will go pull the footage after work and see what i can see. wish me luck. either way, im covered so theres that.

I only know of a few of these. There was a dealer in VA who had one, mine, and another guy in Raleigh, NC has one. I am sure they made more but you sure don't see them very often!

Well that just sucks. Now it's just the mindset pita to get it fixed and all..

Yeah, dashcams are great for proving this or that, but they don't prevent the incidents obviously. I always wonder if and when cams get integrated as standard equipment on cars, if that would slow down bad and outright illegal driving.

By then, humans won't be driving, moot point. 😂
