Legion of Demons Personal Best

Just got back from Houston at the Return of the Demons event. What a great bunch of men and women. Everyone was willing to help other racers get the best out of their cars. Several records were broken and I set a new personal Demon best. Even though it was the first time on the track for this car it is a quick learner. The first several passes were 10.0s to 10.20s. The next day resulted in consistent 9.8s to 9.9s. My new personal best is now 9.84 and it will get faster with more laps.

Was this 840hp mode? I ask because you're turning almost 135mph which seems be quite normal and yet we have some that claim to be stock turning almost 141mph. That's quite a difference for stock vehicles. Just curious.

Yes, that was 840 HP mode. I did have runs that were 136+ MPH.

100% stock. It does have the crate front skinnies and crate passenger mirror delete. Running Sunoco 260 GT Plus.

Yea, still a big disparity between the majority of Demon trap speeds and the Demons that claim to be setting new records in stock trim. Just curious how that's happening. It's going to take more than a rear seat and passenger seat delete to make an additional 5mph in the 1/4.

the ones that are breaking the records are stripped ,no door panels or carpet among other things removed and they have different wheels and tires and @ demon1 great job brother

Thank you sir! I’m confident the car has a 9.7 in it as I get more break-in. It would help if I lost a few lbs. too. Lol

Yes it is. He’s worked his a** off and tests regularly. He’s a great guy too.

I honestly haven't met any demon owners that weren't great to be around ,in the end we are just enjoying a great car

Just adding to the fun factor, I won the Stock bracket race and then won the overall King of the Hill elimination. The final run was a 9.912 on a 9.91 dial. Not bad for my first competition in 25 years.

The base one seatt Demons are pretty stripped from the factory...but no door panels is a bit much. Were you there?

Something has to account for the extra 5mph or more that some are running supposedly stock.

I wasn't there but in clay city I saw one with no door panels personally .byrons white demon had no door panels on it, that's beehappy on the forum ,hes a great guy to be around he was the first to break the record

Last time they were there they had a 20mph headwind. According to Ron there was none this time...that’s huge. There was a stock one that went 140 last year. Ron has gone 140 before at a different track too.
