Lucky you my driveway is gravel so inches of ice that has given way in spots from my Ram. Now that it froze again I don't think I have the ground clearance or traction to move the Cat or the Buick blocking it.😕
The plate is a nice touch.👍

I spent an hour shovelling to facilitate the jostling of cars - had I left it I'd have been skidding all over the place as there was about 2" on the ground.

The Vanishing Point plate will go on the back for racing. I'll put the proper plate on the bracket and leave it in the trunk , and claim ignorance if I get pulled over.

Thanks, I thought it would be an interesting look against the snow... but, that's as far as I can go due to the salt monster lurking at the bottom of my driveway.

We still have awhile. Especially if like me you wait until the snow melts so that all that water running down the street isn't the result of the salty stuff they pushed to the sides all winter.
This is probably the hardest part of dealing with winter. It's getting nice enough to drive but if you do you might as well drive it all winter.

Here's a little something I've been toying with since I got the car.



The design technique is called negative space - the idea is to highlight what is normally deleted by the eye to shape the image in your mind without being obtuse or blatant about it. I've got a few different designs sketched out, and decided to try and transfer one into reality.

For those not aware I have a background in design - so this is really my first love. The ultimate goal is to not be garish, it has to fit and look organic. That being said, I am not totally sold on this version... but it's a start.

So today I learned a little something that may uniquely apply to the 2018+ HC platforms regarding HP Tuners and which Suite to run. I don't think it is written anywhere (at least that I found since buying the my car) but in order to properly read and scan the car you must be running the Beta version (4.5 or better) of the Suite, not the 4.4.x production version. Otherwise you get minimal access to scan data and cannot open anything read off the ECM. Took a few minutes to resolve... but I can confirm that both a Read Entire and the scanning functions work properly now.

I also dropped my drag pack stuff off for mounting and balancing. The shop was more than willing to use balancing beads (had them in stock) and fully agreed with the premise and rationale. So there...

Me too. I've been completely enamored with the "Demon" drag-look since that car's debut.

In other news I tried another font style/design for the other marker light. Hand drawing and hand cutting this out is very laborious - I think I need a small vinyl cutter plotter thingy. The border I added made installing it a royal PITA, so that won't be making the grade. And no, I didn't accidentally put it on backwards - I deliberately mirrored it.





This is all me spit-balling ideas to see what sticks... get it?

Picked my drag pack up from the shop today. They put 4 ounces of beads in all four wheels as the fronts weigh just about as much as the rears. The rears went on without lube and they elected to bead seal them to reduce slippage - not quite what I asked for but I guess they'll hold air just fine. The rears also have screw-in valve stems for good measure. And that 4 inches of lip out back is giving me the weirdest boner...

Because I had them on hand (like new from DW 2016). Originally (IIRC) M&H was the first to market a 28" tall tire for a 17" rim, and I had good results with them over the years so I didn't hesitate to run them on this car. They have a pretty soft sidewall.

I think you're going to be okay with 2.5oz with the lighter bias ply tires. I believe they wanted to put 3oz in mine but err'd on the side of caution.
