Has anyone had the "supplied" bolts fail? I am a big one for over-engineering any solution (the elevator principle) but I would have to suspect (or hope) that they would have done some destruction testing on this set up before marketing it. If not, there could be a potential case there for design defect...

I put 8.5" stainless steel threaded rod in with my spacers instead of bolts. And stainless steel flange nuts at the top. Not worried about pulling threads out of my head's any more.

At 10mm engagement with this diameter you would need over a 100ft/lb to pull out.

Two questions (at least)?

What parameters and equation did you use to calculate that number? (What alloy primarily)

What is your opinion in the 1/3 reduction in thread engagement?

100lb/ft BTW

100lb/ft sounds like a lot, but what should it be, certainly it's not JUST the resistance to the bolt tq we're talking about, it's the ~80hp on the S/C pulley trying really hard to yank it off of the block, plus the ~12psi pushing it off as well.

(8ports * ~4in^2/port * 12psi = ~384lbf) <--- pretty small actually

Any update on this? Getting ready to install my kit Soon.

also, has anyone heard or had any issues with the belt “walking” forwards or backwards on the pulley after installing the plates?

I have had no issue with belt so far , about 1600 miles including several times to the track.
