I’m actually surprised that no one has talked about it much.

Me too. At VMP I let the car get a little too low on fuel. I figured I had one round left and didn't wanna open another $100 can of race fuel for one pass. Half way down the track the car slowed down a bit and I lost the round. Got back, checked the log and sure enough bypass opened because fuel sloshed away from the pump. I thought it was a very clever feature.

It’s certainly saved my motor more times than I care to remember.

@Speedy! We will let you know this weekend. Da should be in the 500 range. We will do some hard pulls. Most likely set activation to 2.7 or 3v pedal and set it at 25 or 50 percent. I’m going to put his pressures back to stock. He is on the 1650 injectors on so unfortunately we won’t have injector duty cycle data with the 1300s like you run.

Jon and I installed the JMS BAP Powermax P2020PPD18 yesterday. Instruction are for a Mustang so some stuff isn't needed. It is a plug and play for duel pumps. There is a long wire we ran up the passenger side to the front and over to the pedal. Unplug foot pedal connector and there is a Y harness that plugs and connects it all. There are 2 more Y harnesses that come out of the BAP that plug into each fuel pump fpdm modules behind the right side panel in the trunk. Then there is a ground wire which we found the eye was too small to hook up to the grounding post so cut it off and installed a bigger one.

There are 5 switches on the BAP and it tells you how to set it up. For some reason when we turned the power off the pumps kept running. We tried multiple thing but it kept doing it and we had to disconnect battery. We unplugged the connectors off the fpdm modules and reconnected them back up and then it worked right. One of the harness has red wires that come out and the other has white that come out of the BAP maybe they need to go a certain way and we happened to reverse them.

We went out and did a datalog and it is holding pressure at shift point now at 80 psi so we know it is working

Jon already had one on his car when he got it so was able to reference it some. He has a stock size battery and it is tucked in front of it. Mine is shorter so I went behind it. It really doesn't move much so either are not mounted. I put a towel under it so it will not be bouncing on metal

Also we only turned the pumps up only a few volts and over 2.7 throttle volts. We are no where near the 22 max volts.

By pump relays do you mean the fpdm modules? Fuel pump driver modules?

Also I was thinking bumping fuel pressure just a tick might be good once pumps have some overhead. Maybe 85psi?

I didn't know the correct term but that is probably what they are called. We had to add a second one when installing the duel pumps. I changed it in the post

No worries I wondered if maybe there were extra relays or something, but yeah those bigger boxes are the drivers. I was thinking sticking it down with velcro may be a good solution.

That functionality is bugged for most 2018-2020 MY vehicles and doesn’t work as it should like in 2015-2017 vehicles. Very unfortunate as not having proper boost bleed safety significantly adds more risk of hurting the motor when injectors go 100% and beyond due to fuel system issues or inadequacy.
Can vouch this system saved my car when the bap died and the system tried to compensate, shut the car off around the 1/8th mile and coasted.
