Small hiccup today. Texas speed sent the wrong mid pipe connection. Going to get a hold of them tomorrow and hopefully work to get those parts sent by a space shuttle. We are so close lol.

That's' better than Ole Bay on hell her, if not 18. Port and polished and lukin good. Thant is very nice. I will be there gain soon,, good and clean. I will be out of this home stead in 3 months and will be able to give birth to a new one I am looking at on Counting Cars Show, on now. One of my favorites. Moving back to whore #1 started back in 1996, 1st town home built, paid for in 2 years, stayed vacant for 6 years, rented out and now vacant. I am moving back with both cats after all this time. Wore show #1 after divorce, and only divorce, but gals to cme later in life. 3.5 garage with Catster only in #1 place. Tools and frig with JBL stereo and some pics is it. Keep the 1 I have ave and start on another one. I have to fid the people that ripped me off in the meeen time. Want advertise the back stages. Off to bed to sneep on it.

good luck on the build. and just think i was the one who introduced everyone to bbp. i am still awaiting my commission check. so far 20000 miles on my bbp shortblock with no problems. i was going to get the ported snout as my stock one is making some bearing noises. but i needed front rotors. i went with rb front rotors. they weigh 6 pounds less apiece. but at 1258 plus shipping with new pads and labor i am setting the ported snout back a little in my priorities. i think you will be very happy once it is dialed in. although i personally would not do 7000 rpm shifts.

I so not want to hijack the ops thread. But do a Google for RB brakes. If you are wealthy they also have a 5k ceramic brake.

I’m stock displacement, not a stroker. The thing will take 7000 all day. Maybe I’ll do 6950 lol.

I plan for Demon Performance ones when the time comes. Similar weight loss. All these aftermarket ones are a little pricey.

I asked that question when talking to Alex at BBP. I have the stroker version (7.0L) and he said they have tested then to 7800 and “never” saw a problem. With one of these motors, if the power on the dyno was still going up at 6500..... keep going.

technically the way i learned, assuming the engine can take it, is to look at your dyno horsepower numbers. then you need to know where your transmission shifts back to on each shift. you would then see the horsepower made, say at 6600 rpm, and if it is more horsepower than at the point at which it shifts back to you are good. with my dyno it is weird. at the point at which horsepower crosses over with torque which is always a constant horsepower never rises or falls more than 75 until 6500 rpm. i do not know where my transmission shifts back to after each shift. i suppose i can log that. i assume it is somewhere between 4500-5500 rpm. also it is horsepower that determines shift points. that is work done. you can apply as much torque as you want and if it does no work it is worthless. i.e. trying to get the bottle cap off your favorite beer. you can be the strongest guy in the world and apply the most torque to the bottle cap. if it does not come off no work has been done. horsepower, not torque is the correct way to go.

Yea thinking of the trans is also in the cards lol. I’ve had a great TCM tune. Will be tuners ultimate decision.

Small update. Breaking in the motor and then bringing it back to tune. Decided to switch tuning platforms to HPtuners. Diablo cannot make true flex work as of yet. I'm not going to wait longer for the 2020 season. Plan to keep the Diablo PCM/Trinity as I use the Trinity for everyday street "heads up info/logging".

Hope to get this wrapped up in the next couple weeks.

Car is running well so far after a few hundred miles.
