I wish they'd have built a Redeye 170. I'd have gotten one of those.
If they were not stopping making them there would be some next year just like last time. Would have been 977 hp:geek:

I am amazed at the wealth some in the hellcat/gen 3 hemi world have. Heard stories of some that spent over 3 times the price of the car in modifications (modifications to a RE).

For many it's part of their business and marketing plan. Which makes it tax deductible.

That would mean around $220K for the Jailbreak if he paid the same ADM. That's crazy to me for a Challenger. You're in brand new Porsche 911 Turbo S price.
I have a hunch he got the JB at sticker.
Timmy was hand picking who got those, I doubt he lets a dealer just throw on extra cash to screw that deal up.

Could be the perfect flip car. 1 of 1 color with likely CF wheels. Send it to auction. Profit.
100k for that and hes into the D170 for 90k

Not bad.

Lets take an honest look here.

Are these cars really selling? The Redeyes....possible. But the Super Stocks were available to anyone every year but this year and they only made about 1k total from 2020-2023.
Redeyes had discounts within 6 months of launch up until the COVID shit.

Hellcats and Scats now are piling up.

Drop the 170 Hellephant on a 2024 Challenger, I doubt it sells well. The 130k asking price is damn near double what the car was in 2019. Also, its the same damn car as 2019. What has changed?

This generation needed to die. The pricing is off the charts and I believe I saw somewhere that Stellantis had the highest price increases of any auto maker over the last 3 years!

Where Dodge fucked up, no real successor plan. That new Charger body is sweet. But its going to sound like a farting import with the I6 or a video game with the BEV. And at 100k, its BMW $$$.

That is a hard sell on the American people right now.

I think @cole3986 's comment is material. When I got in to these cars back in 2008/2009 it was mainly a blue collar buyer, down to earth people on a budget. They (we) modified the cars as we had money to do so and had a good time doing it and built a pretty tight knit community. It's why I started ChallengerFest. A bunch of us on a forum just like this one decided to get together and it was awesome.

When the Hellcats came out and were the bad boys on the block they brought in a different demographic of owner. People with money who have to be the first and or have the "baddest" came in from Vipers, Corvettes, GT500s, and some BMW. These people typically know very little about the cars and how they work, but can tell everyone "I have the baddest". Kinda spoiled the community if I'm honest. I started seeing it at ChallengerFest. We had a pro photographer that would show up to take people's pics for free on the track and give them the images FREE. Some A-Hole went over and told him he didn't "have permission" to photograph him or his car. From then on we had to add language in the rules that participation meant your picture might be taken. Unbelievable and just one example of the BS that started.

Now here we are with the Demon 170 and it's a freaking mess. You can see it on the FB group where a guy posts a picture of his garage and his 170 with 12 other cars in the shot and asks what kind of fuel he should put in the car hoping people pat him on the back for having a garage full of cars. Pathetic really. Or the guy that posts a pic with his 170 and says he bought a 2nd one since he was tired of waiting on the first he ordered. Real goof balls if you ask me.

I had a Jeep SRT8 before the HC, but the LX cars didn’t interest me really at all. Too slow for too much. It wasn’t until the Hellcat that they really had a fast car. That gen Charger was good looking too, so it worked out. Say what you will, but I was beating up SRT8s with everything else I owned. The Jeep wasn’t quick till I put twins on it. These fat pigs needed all of 700hp to be competitive, which is why the fast SRT8s were boosted 6.1s or 426-440 cubes.

My entry was really a fluke. Had a E550 that was having problems from living oceanfront.

I was driving home and it was giving me some electrical issues. I stopped at the Dodge store and was looking at cars. I told the salesman nothing under 500 horsepower. The E550 was about 400. No to the Scat Pack.

It was between a widebody B5 Challenger and the Charger. I was going to daily drive it and my dog rode with me to the office and back. Charger it was.

Over 5 years later and we still have it. Initially leased it and bought out the lease.

When I bought my 2009 R/T I purchased it with the intent to make it a GT500 killer. That's exactly what I did :)

What's wrong with a country club? We have a nice place for events, gym, tennis, etc inside our community. I'm actually doing PT right here.

The country club itself? Nothing. If you are into golfing they actually make a lot of sense.

I grew up down the street from one. Even worked at it for one summer. Some very nice people in the place but it was mostly dominated by miserable cunts trying to uphold an image.

Speedy's post just kind of reminded me of that summer and dealing with a demographic of people like that.

I don't golf anymore but our community has a nice gym. My wife does the yoga plus they have events where family and friends get together.

Yes, there's some miserable cunts and cuntees around plus some social wannabes. I just ignore them.
