No, it wasn't an option, it came with the vehicle. There was no additional fee for the crate and the crate contents.

It did NOT come with the vehicle. After you received your car, you could order it through the concierge for $1.00. There are plenty of 2018 Demons that the original owners never ordered the crate.

That is not what the emails from SRT state is the reason. It may be the real reason but to spend a crazy amount of money for a car that is limited to 149 mph is cause for pause (for me). I am thankful mine has not been shipped yet as I have to really chew on this.

In the future who would want a car limited to 149 mph? A Tesla Plaid goes 193 mph + from the factory, the Lucid Saphire over 200 mph fYes I know these are EVs and I don't want to go down that rabbit hole (again).

Where are you planning on going 215? The car is built for drag racing, nothing more. It will go over 149 briefly like in a 1/4 mile. I'm not understanding why you want a drag car that you want to go faster then it will at the drag strip. Car was not made for 1 mile runs. You may be happier in a plaid. Please do not do 193 on public roads

Buying a 1,025 HP car that is speed limited to 149 mph is flawed as it limits all types of racing and also caps the 1/4 mile performance. That is the bottom line. I have no desire to modify it as I have a hellcat for that and pro mod (that is still no finished). If I would have had that information 11 months ago I would have never chased down an allocation.
